How to download a transcript from Fireflies.ai
Open the meeting, click Download, choose Transcript and a format: PDF, DOCX, SRT, CSV, JSON or MD. Downloading needs a paid plan.
- 1In Fireflies, open the Meetings tab and then the meeting you want.
- 2Click the Download icon at the bottom centre of the meeting page.
- 3Choose Transcript rather than Summary, pick DOCX, PDF or SRT, and keep speaker labels and timestamps switched on.
- 4Download the file and upload it here, or open it and paste the text.
The AI summary is not a transcript. We need the turns, not the recap.

- How do I download a transcript from Fireflies?

- Which formats can I download?
- PDF, DOCX, SRT, CSV, JSON and MD, with options to include speaker labels and timestamps. Keep both on: speaker labels tell your turns apart, and timestamps let pace be measured.
- Can I download a Fireflies transcript on the free plan?
- No. Fireflies keeps downloads for Pro and higher plans. On the free plan the transcript stays viewable in Fireflies, but not downloadable.
- Can I use the Fireflies AI summary instead?
- No. A summary has no speaker turns, and personal feedback needs the actual sequence of who said what. Download the transcript, not the summary.
