Privacy

You are being asked to paste a conversation with a client into a website. This page is the long version of why that is safe, written from what the code actually does.

Who is responsible for your data

Codama Advanced Engineering Inc. is the data controller for everything described here, registered in Delaware, United States. Reach us at hello@betterput.com.

What we collect

Your account. Email address, and a name if you give one. Sign-in is handled by Supabase; we never store your password ourselves.

What you tell us about your work. Role, seniority, industry, first language, and what you want to sound like. All of it is optional and all of it is editable. It exists so the analysis knows whether a 60% talk share was the point of the meeting or the problem with it.

Transcripts you upload, and what we derive from them: the findings, the quoted sentences they rest on, and the counted metrics.

Billing state, if you pay: which plan, whether it is active, and the identifiers Stripe uses. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.

What happens to a transcript

When you upload a file, your browser reads it and sends the text. The file itself is never written to a server.

Before anything is sent to a model, every other participant is replaced by a pseudonym — you are “You”, everyone else becomes Speaker B, Speaker C and so on. Their names do not leave our servers, and their words are never analysed or graded. Only your own turns are.

The raw text is then deleted on the schedule you choose in Settings: immediately after the report is built, after 30 days, or kept until you delete it. The default is 30 days. Your findings, quoted sentences and metrics survive that deletion — otherwise the profile of what you keep getting wrong would reset every month.

Nothing here trains a model

Your transcripts are not used to train models, ours or anyone else’s. They are sent to OpenAI to produce your report, under API terms that exclude the data from training, and for no other purpose.

Who else processes it

These are everyone outside this company who touches your data, and what for.

  • OpenAIRuns the analysis. Receives your turns with every other participant already replaced by a pseudonym.
  • SupabaseSign-in, and the Postgres database holding your account, findings and metrics. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
  • RailwayRuns the API and the analysis worker.
  • CloudflareServes this website and the app.
  • StripeTakes payment. We never see or store your card details.
  • ResendSends the weekly digest, if you are on a plan that includes it.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you were not asked.

The app stores your sign-in token and your light/dark preference in your own browser, and one cookie remembering whether the sidebar is open. None of it is used to track you.

Your rights

You can see, change or delete everything from inside the app. Settings has a delete everything button that removes your account, transcripts, findings and history from our systems immediately — it is not a request queue.

If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the usual rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Email hello@betterput.com and we will handle it within a month.

One honest limit: deletion removes your data from our systems. It cannot reach back into the processing logs of a model provider for calls already made, which are governed by their own retention terms.

Changes

If this changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, we will say so by email rather than by quietly editing this page. See also the terms, which cover the recording-consent question.

Questions about any of this, or a request about your own data: hello@betterput.com.
