Where we differ

Nothing needs to be in the call

Pronounce needs the audio, which means an extension or a recording. We need a file you already have, which matters most when the call is with a client.

We do not do pronunciation

Text cannot carry pronunciation or prosody. This is a real limitation and worth being straight about: if pronunciation is your priority, an audio tool does something we cannot.

We do delivery as well as language

Whether you answered the question, whether the number arrived first or last, whether you hedged in front of something you knew. Those live in the structure of the conversation, which text carries perfectly well.

When they are the better choice

If pronunciation is what you want to work on, use an audio tool. We would be the wrong choice and it is not close.

Common questions

Will it tell me how to pronounce a word?
No. We read text, so pronunciation is outside what we can honestly see. Pronounce is built for exactly that and is the better choice if accent is your priority.
What does it catch that a pronunciation tool does not?
The things that survive perfect pronunciation: the wrong preposition, the tense that does not exist in English, the phrase translated literally from your first language, and the answer that never got to the point. These read as second-language English even when every word is said perfectly.
Can I use both?
Yes, and they do not overlap much. One works on how the words sound, the other on which words you chose. Nothing here needs to be installed alongside anything else.
